# Vault distribute | Hyperliquid exchange

> Distribute funds from a vault to its depositors, or close the vault by distributing zero. On Hyperliquid exchange.

The `vaultDistribute` action distributes funds from a vault to its depositors. Setting `usd` to `0` closes the vault.

## Parameters

### Required parameters

* `action` (object, required) — The vault-distribute action:
  * `type` (string) — Must be `"vaultDistribute"`.
  * `vaultAddress` (string) — The vault address.
  * `usd` (number) — Amount to distribute as a USD float multiplied by 1e6. Set to `0` to close the vault.
* `nonce` (number, required) — Current timestamp in milliseconds.
* `signature` (object, required) — EIP-712 signature of the action.

### Optional parameters

* `expiresAfter` (number, optional) — Timestamp in milliseconds after which the request is rejected.

## Returns

Returns an object with the action status:

* `status` — `"ok"` if the request was processed.
* `response` — Contains operation details, with `type` `"default"`.
